Thank you for doing this podcast. I am still haunted by this mystery. I was in Joshua Guimond’s class of 2004 and living on campus (Benet Hall next to the Refectory). when this tragedy occured. I recall volunteering in the days after it happened to join a line of people to scour the woods in search of clues that could shed light on this. I remember the days passing and wondering if he would be found and time passed and passed and nothing.
I rememeber the rumors/reports about a van and speculation about the monastery possibly being involved. I never heard anything beyond hearsay, however.
Anyway, I was wondering if you had looked through the archives of the CSB/SJU campus newspaper, titled The Record? There may be articles out there written by Joshua in the time leading up to his disappearance. It also may shed some light on what campus life was like at the time. Here is a link to the historical archives: https://www.csbsju.edu/sju-archives/csb/sju-student-newspapers-on-vivarium
Regarding questions about a suspicious van. I actually *haven't* mentioned a van... yet. I am aware of what you're referring to here and am working on it
