I’m planning to build my first serious costume by autumn and want to make a classic Star Wars Stormtrooper. I get the basic concept, but I’m completely stuck on the armor. What’s the best material to craft it from so it doesn’t look like a cardboard box but also doesn't weigh a ton? Any tips, guides, or advice for a complete beginner on where to start?
