Season 1: Joshua Guimond

Josh's computer has been analyzied from top to bottom for years. It could be possible that Josh went with someone he met in person, and not in an online chat room

"....Aubrey Immelman, a psychology professor who specializes in crimes research at CSB/SJU said he believes otherwise.

He said circumstantial evidence indicates Guimond may have been abducted and that foul play should not be ruled out.

Based on his research, Immelman said Guimond had worked at SJU’s former video store.

My own opinion is Josh left the poker gathering without good byes because he was meeting someone secretily. My belief Josh felt comfortable going with someone he knew, perhaps they have met before. Someone who frequent or lived on campus.

I'd have to go back and re-read Immelman's profiling and analysis, but my recollection is he was not aware of / did not account for the information about Josh's exploration of his sexuality, and his use of online chat rooms.

Where is Josh Newville? I wish he wouldn't go silent. This is such a great podcast and I miss it.

I don't have the answer you are seeking, but I sort of operate under the blanket assumption that "we're all doing the best we can with the resources we have."

That includes information -- including information whose existence needs to be kept private.

@Joshua Newvilleis not a journalist or a web sleuth. Rather, he is a civil litigation attorney who's worked on some of the most consequential issues of our current era, and who often represents clients facing long odds to achieve justice. That is more than a full-time job.

One benefit of that is that he can call BS on law enforcement to a degree that journalists cannot when LE attempts to keep information private. And, act responsibly when such a request is appropriate.

Stearns County LE may not have earned the benefit of the doubt, but Josh N certainly has and I urge everyone to recognize the giant contribution he's already made (at significant opportunity cost).

I trust we'll get the appropriate information when the time is right.

On this day, 21 years ago Joshua Guimond disappeared. This afternoon on the Stearns County Sheriff’s official Facebook they posted a statement. Last anniversary, they posted the photos of men off of Josh's computer to appeal for their identities. This anniversary they did not publish the photos again.

Yes, I believe the photos were released on Oct. 18th, a few weeks before the anniversary last year. And a few days prior to the Netflix episode of Unsolved Mysteries. I just can't believe they waited so many years to release them and I can't believe that they didn't get any breaks in the case. This podcast and website has been silent and the Stearns Co. Sheriff's Dept. has been equally silent, even though they said they were going to release another age-enhanced photo over a year ago. Another year of frustration for all of us that care and another year of heartbreak for Josh's family and friends. Let's hope someone out there is still looking into this case and we have some answers soon.

@Josh Newville, I wonder if you could update us with a quick drop about the new episodes that were promised. I understand you must be so busy and there may be difficulty in even finding more content to create a couple of new episodes about Josh’s case. But I worry that you may have abandoned the project altogether when we haven’t heard from you in awhile and I certainly hope it’s still a go. It’s wonderful, what you’ve done, and I’m sure all of the family and friends (including those of Guimond’s) you’ve met along the way are so appreciative. I know I am and I’m just a faraway interested person

Ps Joshua Newville won't abandon finding the truth about Joshua's disappearance, this is his passion to find what happened to him.
